Do Not Use Misc

Hello, my name is Courtney Williams. I am from a small town in Southwest Alaska called Bethel. There are about 6500 people. This is my first year at UAF, I transferred here last semester from UAA. I am a sophomore and am majoring in Elementary Education.

I had Geography in 7th grade, and really enjoyed the class. I am taking this course for one of my General Ed requirements.

Hello everyone! My name is Kaitlyn and I am from upstate New York. I am currently a full-time student at UAF and am excited to take this course. I am quite new to geography, the only geography that I really learned in high school was where the 50 states and the countries in Europe are. This course is not a requirement in my degree, I just wanted to take it for fun. I am majoring in Philosophy right now and all that deep thinking can hurt my brain, so this course will be a nice break from that. The three places I placed on the class map are Marion, Fairbanks, and Volos, Greece. I was born in the city of Rochester, but Marion is where I grew up. Fairbanks is obviously where UAF is and Volos, Greece is where I would want to go if I had unlimited money.

Hello class, my name is Talisha and I recently transferred from UAA to UAF.   I have previously studied geography in Elementary school but it was very basic.   This course is required for my Elementary Education Degree.   I hope one day to be an art teacher in an Elementary school.   My goal is to first teach Elementary and in the future get a Master's or Ph.D. in Fine Arts to be a college professor.   I really love art history so geography will help my knowledge in art to visualize the location of the history that occurred in each area.

The three locations I placed in the Introductory Class Map was Monterey, CA where I was born, Anchorage, AK where I currently live, and Rome, Italy where I would like to travel.   I would love to travel to Rome because there is a lot of art history that occurred in that area.   I would love to see the Vatican, Colusseum, and the Pantheon.   Places I have visited before is Brazil and Japan so that is off my list of places to visit.   I hope to have a great semester!

Good day to you all. You can call me Hum. I'm currently in my final year of studies at UAF and am looking forward to graduating. Heh heh. My major is Japanese Studies, which means as per UAF JS degree requirements I've been to Japan and have spent roughly a year there in school including a fair bit of travel. Primarily in the wonderful city of Nagoya. You'll find it just south of Tokyo, and east--or so-- of Osaka. It is the best city of the three, but I am certainly biased.

I am, perhaps, of an older generation of mushers. It was my lifestyle for nineteen years, but times change as they say and I'm ready to move on from Alaska.

I have only studied Geography in an amateur setting and possess no field related knowledge, though perhaps navigating while mushing, hiking or within urban environments I'm at least familiar with some geography. I'm also quite partial to world building and cartography of limited skill, magic is deitous after all. This class is a requirement for my degree and I'm taking it instead of what I was taking: Anthropology. My previous Anthropology class didn't quite sit well with me. A shame, perhaps.

I believe that about covers the information relevant to this class.

Hello,

My name is D. Jonathan Biggerstaff and I am a first-year student at UAF but have just graduated from UAA in logistics and supply chain management.   I also have graduated from Culinary Arts with Advanced Savory and Pastries.   I studied Geography in High School.   This course is a requirement for my studies.

I was born in Palmer, AK. and my family has been homesteading for many generations north of Talkeetna, AK.   I live in Talkeetna, but work between Wasilla and Talkeetna. I own a farm/ranch/kennel business and work as a private Chef for an elderly person. Someday, I would like to visit England and other countries in Europe.

My name is Zachary Greenberg and I have studied geography a couple of times throughout high school. I had an actual geography class in high school where we studied the mountains, rivers, and volcanoes of North America and then the other famous landmarks of the world. Also in high school my World History class had a map portion of it in which we had to study and learn about the features of the regions we were studying whether it was mountains or rivers or in the case of India, plateau's.   But that is the extent of my geography knowledge.

This course is a requirement for my degree in elementary education.

Hi. My name is Beverly Bross but I go by my middle name Tjarn. I haven't really studied geography, but I did a little in high school. I am taking this class because it fills a requirement. I don't really know what I'm doing yet but right now I'm getting an art degree. The three locations I put on the map were Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Yosemite. Anchorage for my place of birth, Fairbanks for where I'm living now, and Yosemite is where I really want to go. I want to road trip there and camp for a couple days so I can hike and climb a LOT!

Hey guys, my name is Brandon and this is my second semester here at UAF. To answer the required questions, I have not officially studied geography before this class. The most experience I have really put into learning geography is trying to memorize the United States (which state is which) and knowing where countries are located around the world.   This course is not apart of my major, however, I have always been a little interested in the study of geography so I decided to add it to my schedule and work with it. The three locations that I placed on the class map were Rochester, NY (where I was born), Ovid, NY (where I reside), and Stockholm, Sweden (where I hope to travel one day).

For a little about myself, I am 19 years old and have a variety of interests. I enjoy sports such as basketball, baseball, and football. However, hockey is my absolute favorite sport with the New York Rangers being my favorite team. For music, I can listen to an array of genres but Post Malone and JuiceWrld are the artists I primarily listen to. I also am a huge MCU and Star Wars fan/nerd as a side fact.

Hi everyone, my name is Taylor Lewis. I have study geography in k-12. This class is a requirement for my degree but I am really excited to study it again. I was born in Boston, live on Eielson AFB, and I would love to visit Japan for the food. One fun fact about me is that I have a twin brother.

Hello Everyone. My name is Bertha. I am a Yup'ik Associate Teacher for 1st and 2nd grade . I have 5 children, 4 boys and 1 girl. I have not studied Geography before. I don't know if this course is required for my degree, but I took this class because all other classes were full.

I was born in Tuluksak, AK as my parents were sent there as Pastors from my church. Currently I live in Kongiganak, AK where I am working and raising my family. Someday, I would like to go to Hawaii for vacation.
